We’ve been temporarily charging our MS by plugging in to an outdoor GFI for the last couple of weeks while doing some renovations. Didn’t set the amps down on the car, just plugged in and it’s been doing 4 miles/hour without any issue. It’s a brand new outlet so perhaps that does makes a difference.
It’s been a bit of a revelation that in a smaller town where the daily driving is usually only 5-15 miles (AND there is a supercharger about 20 miles away in case of sudden need) we probably could do just fine without our higher amperage charger. The net gain is usually 10-30 miles each night and within a week or two we are up to 300 miles and ready for a longer trip.
