On behalf of a very close friend and fellow Roadster owner, I am facilitating the sale of this lovely two-owner 2015 Model S. Its first owner purchased the vehicle and drove just about 4,000 miles in Florida before it was sold to its current owner in Houston, Texas. It has been family-owned & driven on mostly Texas highways since July 2016, with a few road trips sprinkled in. It has been meticulously maintained by Tesla throughout its life, with complete service history and transparency outlined below.
The current owner just took delivery of a 2021 Long Range S...so you can imagine it's time to find this S a new home.
VIN:
5YJSA......101885

NOTE - this vehicle does NOT have Active Air Suspension, Subzero Weather Package, or Paint Armor
ACCIDENT HISTORY - there are two minor accidents on file, completed using insurance, thus appearing on vehicle history reports:
September 2018 - vehicle ran over an object on the freeway, which punctured the battery pack, resulting in a full replacement pack and upgrade to the 90 kWh pack
January 2016 - rear RH quarter panel, rear RH quarter glass, and chrome trim replaced. This was a very inexpensive $2,500 cosmetic repair that the original owner opted to use insurance for, which unfortunately added the accident to the history report.
Complete Service History:
September 2019 - Front LH and Rear RH Door Handle Replaced
August 2019 - 12V Battery replaced, bi-annual checkup performed
April 2019 - eMMC Recall Performed (note: this is still an MCU1 but contains the upgraded 64GB eMMC and no longer experiences blackouts)
September 2018 - battery pack replaced with 90 kWh version, twin chargers added
August 2018 - steering rack bolts replaced as per recall
April 2018 - rear bumper sensor replaced
June 2016 - bi-annual checkup performed by Tesla FL before sale
Warranty:
8 Year / Unlimited Mileage Battery & Drive Unit Warranty valid until September 30, 2023 - covers battery, drive unit/motor.
4 / 50,000 Mile Warranty is no longer valid, but recent servicing has alleviated all known issues.
Condition:
Exterior - paint is in great shape overall. It had a wrap on the vehicle for the past three years, which preserved the paint underneath. There are a couple of small scratches on the body color roof, and a blemish on the driver's side mirror cap. This cap can be replaced for $260 or less. Lastly, the rear right wheel has a small bit of rash.
Interior - Interior in great shape for its age. There is classic wear & tear on the edge of the driver's and passenger's seat, and the passenger vanity mirror cover is no longer present, but otherwise no major imperfections.
Screens - both screens have some bubbling. This is very common on older Model S and can be serviced for a reasonable cost. As an alternative, the MCU2 upgrade is just $1,500 nowadays, and makes the car feel like new.
Tires - replaced in early 2020, with only about 2,000 miles driven since then due to COVID and daily-driving a Model 3 Performance.
Battery:
Currently charges to 247 at 90% and 273 at 100%. The 90D packs were rated at 295 Miles at 100%, which puts this pack in excellent shape with just about 7% degradation (very common drop-off on the 90 kWh packs). This pack was replaced in September 2018 as mentioned above.
Mileage:
66,138 Miles
Price:
$38,000
This is a two-owner, non-smoking, family-owned Model S with great options, a transparent service history, upgraded battery, and title in hand. We have priced this well below comparable configurations WITH ACCIDENTS shown on Tesla's CPO site, and those accidents are far more serious than this Model S' history.
Please feel free to comment or private message with inquiries. Please try to refrain from comparing to your cousin's screamin' CPO curb rash deal from 2 years ago. This car deserves a loving home and is priced to sell as-is. Enjoy the photos below!
floor mats are dirty, but this is a judgement-free zone.
Proof of 90% charge. 100% is usually 271 to 273.
