Center console folding door beside the 12V charger. Just make sure you go into settings to activate sentry mode and check the top bar of the center screen to ensure this thing's on. I've noticed that sentry mode can be 'on' and the car can flash its headlights and whatnot but not actually record unless this icon shows.
Model S cars that were manufactured around April 2016 and later support Sentry (i.e. cars with 8 cameras). With the MCU2 upgrade, they also support the 4-channel dashcam. MCU1 doesn't have enough CPU power to deal with 3 dashcam channels well.
