SC told to be fully V12 FSD, I would need upgrade to MCU3 instead of MCU2 on Intel Atom I currently have which doesn't sound legit to me. Anyone has any better experience about this?

Hiya! I am in the same situation as you. I had EAP, mcu2, and paid the $2000 for FSD last month. This included an update to HW3 (my cameras were good and did not need upgrading). Been using FSD 11.4.9 and was really wondering if and when I would get the version 12 update. (Concerned about no cabin camera)

Well, I just had an update to 2024.8.9 and got FSD 12.3.6

I’m pretty excited to try it out. And! Wondering when the Cybertruck will get FSD!

You may get v12 eventually without MCU3, but who knows how long that will take.

I would hope you were told all this before purchase.

There is no MCU3 upgrade that I am aware of. In fact, IIRC, it was previously explicitly stated that there would NOT be an MCU2-MCU3 upgrade available in the future due to changes in the physical connections. That having been said, there are legacy vehicles with MCU2 an SFSD (mine included), but they are running v2024.3; according to this thread, there was no SFSD for v2024.8.x and you'd have to wait for v2024.14 (@Sandman1962 seems to contradict that above, but he is most likely confused given that you have posted a picture of your MCU showing that 2024.8.9 is FSDb v11.4.9).
