LR daily update!

March -> August -> June 1-31 -> August -> June 22-30 -> June 21-30 -> Blank -> June -> June 21-30 -> June -> Blank -> June -> August -> June 22 - 30 -> Blank (for 5 days) -> August ->Blank -> August -> June 27 - 30th (day before yesterday) -> August (yesterday)

-> Now back to just "June" as of this morning

As much as my date has changed over the past few weeks (almost daily) I am ready to quit relying it. I think we have enough evidence that the ETA doesn't really matter right now. Hopefully soon!

I'll just report back when I have a VIN. :)

Gotta love those SAs and their never ending stream of nonsense. Please tell me you told them we have definitive proof that LRs are getting delivered?
I am definitely going to tell him now cause I just got a VIN!!

Congrats!! Did you get the email or text too? Hoping it sticks for you brother! Also, this is promising. Since we're both in Cali I can at least hope for a VIN today to get by EOM.. but I won't get my hopes up haha.

Thanks! I just checked my account earlier and saw a June delivery date and said to myself they only got a couple days left in June and didn’t expect anything of it… Then all of a sudden I got an email right now saying final payment is due and that’s how I knew I got a VIN! Hopefully this does stick. 🤞

Some initial thoughts with my first hour of driving in it.

- I love the yoke wheel for casual driving; you can be super relaxed and laid back just holding it slightly. Supported high arm on the left side by window, or right slouch with elbow on the middle console, both are super comfortable
- The buttons on the yoke still mess me up. I like the turn signals on the wheel, but I’m still not seamlessly operating it and am clumsy with left VS right while driving
- 180 turns are annoying as hell on the yoke… need time here. it’s not just the top being gone, but the wheel being more rectangular than circle. I’ll grow accustom to this but it definitely was my first annoyance
- Shifting from Reverse to Drive etc is seamless; non issue, and immediately got used to it. This was a concern of mine, and it ended up being so intuitive i deem it a non issue
- The HUD and center display are INCREDIBLE. 10/10. Favorite set up I’ve ever experienced in a vehicle. I’m in love.
- Handles so smooth, as to be expected

I would say for someone who was quite nervous about the yoke transition, I really enjoy it and I’m hopeful I’ll fall in love with it as I get used to the fumbles I mentioned above. I am VERY happy to get this car and it pains me to say this, but it was worth the wait (THEY STILL SHOULD BE BETTER AT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT THOUGH!!!)
Does the LR still pull past 60 mph? (I don’t know if this question has been answered. I’ve seen that it’s wicked-fast.)

Great feedback on the yoke. That has been my biggest concern going from my 2017 S to my forthcoming new one.

Thanks for some more perspective on the yoke. A few questions:

  • How have you found signalling to be when you're not going in a straight line or just a slight turn, say going up a circular off-ramp that merges into another freeway, or going through a roundabout?
  • What are your turning habits usually like? Do you do hand-over-hand or push-pull such that your arms never cross the airbag?
