tesla should stop doing running lines across body panels. Alignment nightmare, first the model x door handles, now with these new S lights. Not loving it TBH.

On the bright side, if there are enough Jan 2022 orders that are rejected or put on hold, waiting for new lights, maybe I'll only have to wait 10 months.I think I’m going to puke

I think the new applique looks odd, but can easily be wrapped in gloss black. I also think the LR needs a spoiler. The trunk looks naked without one. The biggest impact will be at night. The old lights will immediately look dated. Here is old vs. new:
Got the call about trade in Sunday. Then my EDD updated today to Feb17-Feb28. No VIN as of now so we will. Would love the new lights but won't say no to the old ones at all. Such a minor thing for me personally

I definitely get the buzz over the new headlights as they have technical advantages (I am totally happy with the ones I have) but I am not a fan of the new rear end design. I think the black TESLA trim that goes across the trunk looks BOSS...

not a big fan of the new design neither, maybe if the trim is in black/carbon fiber wrap will make it more stand out

This is what I settled on. They are not Tesla OEM tires, but Michelin has made a lot of Tesla OEM tires. Also I like the ratings better.
Here is a great Tesla factory tour with a lot of detail and sophisticated automation. I had not seen this video before, and looks like Tesla has a lot more manufacturing robots than the ones I saw during a visit to Ford’s factory tour in Dearborn, MI a few years ago. Surprised at the number of manufacturing defects being reported in these forums given the amount of automation.

Holy sh*t! After 8 months RN1151 order I finally received a VIN NF4720. Here’s hoping for new headlights and taillights. Of course they can keep that fugly color matched bar between the taillights we’ve seen in pictures lately.
Wow, they are really turning these cars out, seems like all 1151s are getting Vins.

You probably aren't, but finally seeing a trend of VIN's for the Midwest has to be a good thing for us.
