2023 Model 3 Rear Passenger Plastic Rocker Trim Scruff Fix! 🚘

Just got a curb scruff on the rear passenger side plastic rocker trim as I was getting out of an incredibly tight parking. Is there any quick fix for this scruff I would hate to have to replace the entire rocker trim off of some shady eBay seller?

I have heard people raving about the matte plasti dip, but i would not want to worsen the situation if the color was to be a mismatch. Anyone got any suggestions?

I just want to flush it as best possible and make it look as close to oem as possible since it’s not bent.

First try to clean it and smooth it out by rubbing with a paste made from baking soda and water. You can use a cloth or a brush. If that doesn't sufficiently hide it, the next step would be a using a heat gun as shown in the video below.

I was considering just spray painting and dabbing the affected area, but a color mismatch would definitely NOT be the ideal solution. I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol but the scraped, hardened plastic is what’s dangling off the edges of the trim and definitely won’t return to its oem somewhat grey-black plastic color unless painted.
