I did right before posting. Waiting to hear back.Have you tried creating a service request in the app stating that your car has not updated in 3 years, and to please push whatever is current for your car?
Three years? When your Tesla does connect, it’ll break the internet.I haven't updated in over 3 years. And now I'm back in the States and it just won't give me the update prompt. Before taking it in, any ideas?
I read OP’s post as the car was out of the country for 3 years and completely disconnected, which would present a different set of problems.I was off of updates for a little over 2 years, stopped right before the 2020 Holiday update to avoid the UI changes and continued skipping until late spring 2023 (when they introduced the wiper speed scroll wheel controls, first compelling new feature for me in that time). Had no trouble getting back on updates, but I don't think every update will get pushed. How long have you been waiting for an update? It may take a while to get the prompt. Also sounds like they have slowed/stopped the current holiday update deployment due to some bugs so you might be just caught up in that delay??
Hello, I would like to know if you managed to update the software?I haven't updated in over 3 years. And now I'm back in the States and it just won't give me the update prompt. Before taking it in, any ideas?
yeah, I took the car in, they had to manually update it at the service center.Hello, I would like to know if you managed to update the software?
I'm very happy to hear that, congratulations!, I have the same problem, but I live in a country without Tesla SC. I recently opened a ticket and I'm waiting for a response, hoping they can do it OTA.yeah, I took the car in, they had to manually update it at the service center.
updating... they told me that it is not possible to do it Over the air, and that I must take it to a SCI'm very happy to hear that, congratulations!, I have the same problem, but I live in a country without Tesla SC. Ya let us know-seems like the new updates are paused, would love to get a push update from serviceI'm very happy to hear that, congratulations!, I have the same problem, but I live in a country without Tesla SC. I recently opened a ticket and I'm waiting for a response, hoping they can do it OTA.
Once the car’s certificates have expired there’s no way for it to connect back to the mothership. Your only option is to bring it in.updating... they told me that it is not possible to do it Over the air, and that I must take it to a SC
Yes, a normal part of the update process is to sign/install new certs before the old ones expire. If this is related to SSL certificates, they used to expire every 3 years and then 2 years. Now they expire every year. I'm assuming a car that is consistently getting updates would automatically be getting the new certs.
