I had that happen last year between two updates. I felt like there was a big hit to my acceleration. My kids noticed it too. I haven't done a legit launch post this new one to say I have noticed it again. Out of town will have to try when I get back.
Can you be specific about which version of software you're talking about? And what version you were running before? That information might be significant.
I updated to 2.16.17 this week from 2.12.x...did a launch this morning and it felt roughly as I expected. I didn't try to measure it scientifically however.

hmmm. I kinda noticed this too. I punched it to show off (show-off!) and it didn't impress the same way. I don't think I'm just getting used to it because I suspected a change after the firmware update. I skipped a few, but I can't remember which one I was on prior.
