We got there early and the nice folks meticulously placed the stickers on the cars. Then it grew to 125 cars! They worked hard!
Streets were closed for us! - the closing of the 5 fwy was classic and surreal. The officers gave us a pass and allowed us to open it up a little!
The officers seemed to be having as much fun as we ere. Real class acts. Gave my 6 year old some high fives!

We really enjoyed the Petersen Automotive museum.
For me (& my wife) that was the true surprise. They did a great job of not making it stodgy and brought you into the era that the car was being displayed.

I put my pictures up on Flickr in two sets... First is the TeslaRun Set...
That first pano-shot is a real winner! Thank YOU for posting on Flickr but you should also post, at least that one, here

Going through red lights on Fairfax Blvd while a police officer encourages you is a thrill. :)

They could at least display some manners and say, "excuse me", rather than try to shove their way behind my daughter who nearly lost her balance.
Tru that; sorry to hear

I dont know how long it took to cross the intersections or how long the one portion of the freeway was stooped, I am sure some people were annoyed, overall people were taking pictures, smiling & giving thumbs up, there was 1 guy on a bike that was annoyed at us but I have been delayed by plenty heads of state motorcades & worst of all Obamas fundraising dinners in Hancock Park that added almost 3 hours to my drive home on a Friday evening a couple years ago.

If all you guys (and gals!) in the LA area that are interested in regular Tesla meetups that are smaller, with less hoopla, you can join the four year old Tesla LA club. There are no membership fees and drives are casual and free. We do meets every other month or so, with interesting often beautiful drives that start or end at a cool breakfast or lunch (pay for your own food) where we talk about all things Tesla :). It's a great place to learn more about your car the company and what kind of DYI mods owners are doing.

Sounds exciting.

How do you get a pink S? (Page 9)

Same way you get a brown Model S within the Signature Series: You get a custom paint job. There were about a half dozen people in the first thousand who were willing to pay for something other than black, silver, white, or red. The factory tried to do custom paint jobs, decided it wasn't worth the effort and quit. When the non Sig colors came out, most people could get something satisfactory and there was not as much pressure to do special colors.

Custom paint costs over $10,000. It's worth it if you want it bad enough. The pink is supposed to be sort of a Mother of Pearl pink. It is quite gorgeous.

We got Chocolate Pearl. It does not look like the Bronze that Tesla sells for brown, although it does not stand out nearly as much as the Pink.

By the way, today is our Tesla's first birthday. Still feels like a new car, still love driving or riding in it, still give test rides and talks just about every day. And we are just turning 25,000 miles. This car exceeds our expectations in so many ways.

Here is a great video of the departure and arrival of 125 Teslas.
You had me riveted to my seat from the opening credits which were awesome!
But how did you get the entire footage of all the cars leaving AND all the cars arriving AND still go on the rally?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Note to Mod, I'd like this entered into my official count for "Random Model S Sightings" , declare victory and claim my prize.
You win, you win! I wonder who is going to do an official count, and also see if the number leaving matched the number returning?
Lastly, what was the Model S : Roadster ratio?

It's 67 Mustang metallic purple, or Cadillac Lavender Mist.
Okay, since YOU must know :)wink:)... which one is it? And if from the Cadillac, what year? Also '67?

Well, my friend Marc is responsible for the video and he drove DIRECTLY from the start point to the end point, unlike the rest of us who turned a mile trip into a 50 mile joyride

I was going to snippily point out that these were not random sightings, but the English tribute music transported me back to my teenage years, long hair, wide collars, flared pants and platform boots..... Love it! :-D

Oh my... I'm with Bonnie, I demand pictures.
