AC/DC adapter from US to UK

I bought an AC/DC adapter for my American specs tesla model 3 to charge it in Dubai but whenever I plugged the adapter into the charging port I’m getting this message “ Charging equipment not recognized” CP_a004


Any advice please

Did you connect it to the Type2 plug, first? I might expect such a message if you just plugged the adapter in by itself.

That's not a thing. There is no passive adapter that can convert AC to DC. From what it looks like, that is to convert the Type2 plug from Europe to the Tesla proprietary port.

You still haven't mentioned what type of plug or source you are trying to use this with. Is this a public charging station? Like a 3 phase AC charging station? I'm not sure exactly how that adapter is wired. Maybe it might not work from 3 phase sources, but would work from single phase sources.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work on Superchargers. Where did you get this adapter? I'd like to read the product description of what it's supposed to do.

Same issue I have,
The adapter is wired as AC and it it supposed to take one of 3 phase from AC charger. It works on any charger except Tesla wall connector.
Is there any resolution for this?

in australia some type 1 cars use an adapter to access tesla destination chargers.

I think the issue might be that the destination charger might be set to tesla only - then it wont work (as your car cannot authorize itself). ?

This will definitely work on Tesla Wall Connector,
I’m using it my self.
