Loss of Supercharging capabilities

Just wanted to let everyone know that it is possible to lose DC charging capabilities and still have AC charging.
This happened on a holiday this year ... DC stopped charging ... but when we tried AC we were able to charge.
Of course it took a few hours and stops to figure it out and try the AC but at least we were able to get home eventually.
It meant it took us an extra 24 hrs to get home .... and a night in a hotel we hadn't expected.

The service I received from Tesla was excellent and the cost was $700 CAD.

Yeah, internally Tesla cars are wired differently than CCS cars. Since CCS has different pins for AC and DC, they have two sets of wires from the charge port, one going to the AC charger, the other to the battery. Tesla has one set of wires that goes to a contactor that switches the AC or DC to the charger or the battery as warranted.

I expect that CCS cars also need switching because they wouldn't want battery voltage on the external charge port pins except when a DC charging session is active.
