Acceleration boost

Does anyone have any experience purchasing the M3LR acceleration boost upgrade in Japan? My app doesn't show any Upgrades menu at all. Does it exist in Japan?

I asked Tesla Japan about it and even they hadn't heard of it. It seems to be an option in some countries, but not all.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if it'll ever be approved. Anyway, I don't really need the extra acceleration, but it looks fun.

Hello all, just a repeat question. Is the Acceleration Boost still not available in Japan for the Long Range Model 3 sold here?

I assume it still is not available. I suggest you contact Tesla and ask. When I asked them previously, they had not heard of the option, but giving them feedback that customers are interested is a good idea. Of course, if they can't get government approval that's still an issue.

It is on the service M3LR I have right now from Yokohama so it is not against any laws, perhaps they just don’t want to offer it here…I will ask when I return the car if it can be had.

They (service guys) said that the car was actually a US model - from Samoa and that was why.......

Does anyone here know whether it has been enabled yet? I have a 2022 M3LR from Japan and I cannot see any purchase options in the car; and on the app I was only able to purchase the premium subskription; no FSD or anything. I don't live in Japan but my car is under Tesla Japan care.
