AGL’s “Night Saver Energy Plan”

Yeah I am with Origin on the 360 EV plan (for over a year). This has free electricity from 10am and 3pm

Does that plan still exist? If I google search Origin 360 EV, the text summary Google provides for the page does say “The EV360 Energy Plan provides 0c/kWh energy between 10am-3pm daily” but clicking on the link takes me to the page below that only talks about Tesla EV charging a 8c/kWh from midnight to 6am. No mention of free electricity. Perhaps it is only in SA?

No, it would have been irrelevant. The discussion was around Fair Use Policy. Anyway, you obviously didn’t read it properly, as you don’t have to be leasing an EV.
Or a charger installed by Origin

The Origin 360 EV Energy Plan is available for a limited time to customers who:
  • Have an active Origin 360 EV Subscription, or an EV Charger installed by Origin

That’s not what Origin says on their website, as per @B3AU‘s post. You either need to lease an EV from Origin, or have an EV charger installed by Origin. I failed only in not mentioning the “or”.
What are you on about? It’s exactly what it says on the website. If you install the charger, then you don’t need an EV subscription!

In my case its nor haha

Ohh that brings back memories of programming logic gate computers the size of suitcases... NOR, XNOR, NOT, NAND, OR, XOR.. haha..

many beers after nerding out all day arguing about the virtues of XOR and NOR. Yes i was that boring...

AGL reduces their feed-in tariff in SA, 3c/kWh now. It makes it less attractive for summer time.
Hardly worth it now unless you work from home, or have expensive batteries to charge during the day and use to power the house at night.

Which is what they want, don't want us to be independent or them pay us for energy we produce for them, other rates go up just in time for the "tax relief" Mo Money..

Basically the Government is just giving more money to the energy companies, which they get from us.
Yay.

I went with powershop post july electricity rate increases. In SA they have a flat rate of .27c/kW for all hours of the day on TOU, between 12noon and 2pm it's 0c/kW. $1.32 supply charge, and only 1.4c/kW feed-in. Suits me as I mostly work from home. Will be charging car, force charging home battery, switching on air con, using dishwasher a.d washing machine and hopefully not tripping circuit breakers. Will give it a go but according to my comparison spreadsheet which contains 12 months of usage it works out as the best current plan out there.

That would be pretty good if it also had a night time cheaper EV rate.

OVO has also.

They still have their 8cents over night and free few hours in the middle of the day however
In VIC, a friend just text me to say that OVO is discontinuing their “One Plan EV” plan as well.

OVO Vic went from 28.89c/kw to 48.4c/kw for peak Jemena Vic, even though default offer dropped in Vic.
I be moving to AGL at the end of the month 25.95c/kw although loose the 3 free hours.
FIT OVO used to do 8 cents now they and AGL 3.3cents :(
