Alcantara headliner

The headliner on my hardtop came crashing down a while ago. I finally got around to getting it reupholstered. I ended up going with black Alcantara and it looks really nice. I tried to take some pictures to post, but it's difficult to capture the material in photographs.

The place where I got the headliner done told me that the Alcantara headliner material was discontinued about two months ago. They can't find any distributors to buy it from anymore. That might be related to another popular topic of discussion on this forum.

I just had mine done. Rankin Upholstery in Gaithersburg, MD matched the original fabric very closely, and did the whole job for $275.

That's pretty good! Did they give you a warranty for how long it will last?

No, but they did say that the foam backing of the fabric will always break down over time, so I should expect the new one to last about as long as the original one did.
