My rear bumper after being ‘bumped’ at a light. Any front bumper chips will be black underneath. My PPF on the front bumper is working great especially coated with ceramic. Just wipe the bugs off.

Here’s 2 rock chips on my pearl white. The rock chip near the headlight isn’t as noticeable because the exposed area underneath is also white (maybe primer?)

The rock chip near the fog light is small but not noticeable because it’s so low to the ground.

The chips on metal won’t be black like on the plastic bumper cover. The bumper covers are all black prior to paint.

I'm more worried about rock chips on the front. But someone bumped into your rear that's why it looks more harsh then a rock chip

Yeah I was thinking the same. Totally on the fence for paint protection on the front of the car and mirrors at least.

I did PPF entire front end. I really regret not doing the front bumper on our ‘14 Escape. I probably have 40 chips on the plastic bumper. At a minimum I would consider PPF on just the front bumper cover. It’s so low and flat it’s a chip magnet
