My model three generates alerts occasionally, about half of the time there is even a reason for it. In either case, however, it is giving my wife heart attacks because the alert sound is SO effective. She has asked me if there is any way to change that sound to something less aggressive?
I am using Joe Mode, still too much for her. I am thinking to record the sound and just play it for her at home enough that she gets used to it. It no longer startles me too much, and after all it's goal is to startle. I wish it wouldn't alert so much, I have given up on using TACC in neighborhoods or on 2 lane roads at night. (Version 10.2 at this point, wonder when later releases will be pushed out).
