Anyone know who can do Drive unit rebuilds ?

Need milling noise fixed im in Los Angeles .. QC charge quoted me some ridiculous prices to fix the bearing noise 5k

Take it to tesla and complain hard enough for a few time and they'll try to replace the drive unit for you.

@Dawave Are you saying Tesla will sometimes replace bad drive units with that issue free out of warranty?

Within warranty they will replace for sure. Out of warranty, if you had complaint before and had written proof about it then you can argue hard. If you don’t have either then Tesla will quote you 8k to replace it and take your old one away. And you have no idea If it’s brand new or rebuilt one. (Tesla do give 2 or 4 years warranty on it tho). My experience.
