Apple Music may finally be coming

Have no interest personally in Apple music but do imagine If there was a battle what would Tesla do if they dropped the Tesla App? That would be a blow.
Some of Apple’s decisions regarding the App Store can seem arbitrary at times, but unlike Elon’s decisions, they aren’t done out of spite. Unless the Tesla app starts showing porn, they won’t remove it.

Apple does the same thing. They are not immune from the accusations. Anyway, the issue at hand is how do we get Apple Music in Tesla’s ecosystem?

Any chance we get Apple Podcasts app also?
If we could get both, I’d no longer pine for CarPlay. I still miss NPR One, but it’s less irritating to use via Bluetooth because I just start it and then use the steering wheel controls to skip reports I’m not interested in. I never use the other features of the app to choose different reports or save things. In contrast, I have to find a new podcast when one ends.

Got the Apple Music app in 2022.44.25.1. Very nice!
Still wondering how this is better than iPhone connected via bluetooth + Siri or just having CarPlay with Apple Music App + Siri available in the Tesla infotainment center console (which I have and use). Be great if Tesla supported CarPlay & Android Auto. Sometimes I use Tesla nav + CarPlay for music or CarPlay for nav & Tesla usb for music or CarPlay for nav and music, etc. Freedom is great just like freedom of speech .
It might be possible to have lossless streaming which is not an option over Bluetooth. I haven’t verified that it does lossless yet.

Personally I’m delighted not to have to mess with my iPhone for selecting music. In fact, I don’t even need my iPhone with me for music anymore. And the big Tesla display shows a lot more than my small phone screen.
