Haven't seen any posts about the shady arbitration clause in the order agreement.

Friendly reminder to read it. I'm opting out.

The language is pretty standard on all car purchase. Good luck on finding one does not have this arbitration rule. You can find the same fine print in Toyota's purchase agreement. Tesla actually highlighted it for your convenience instead of burying in the footnote. You could also opt-out too with the cost of paying arbitration out of your own pocket.

I haven't seen it on a deposit /order but instead on delivery.
Not gonna argue about where it's normal or not was just pointing it out in case people didn't read their order agreement.

Doesn’t hurt to point it out, but saying you’re opting out because of it seems a little odd. And what is so shady about the arbitration clause? Looks pretty much auto-industry standard to me. Actually it’s not as draconian as what you get from Volkswagen/ Audi/ et al.

It depends. In a state like California, the consumer has strong rights. I did not opt out and benefitted from the protections.
