They used to make solar panels with Panasonic at the GF2 in Buffalo before 2019. Our 63 panels were made there.i was not aware that tesla is making their own or have branded any panels
Does everyone call up their homeowners insurance and specifically add the system?
So they are not covered by default?Yep! Our home insurance even had a web form where you could specify how many panels.
It's a relatively expensive fixed part of your home, so I think it's important to make sure it's covered.
So they are not covered by default?
fairAll permanently attached structures are covered by default, but failure to disclose home-improvement to your home insurance provider would be grounds for them to deny coverage if damage were to occur to the part of the home you neglected to tell them about.
Hmmm..... a question. Does everyone call up their homeowners insurance and specifically add the system?
Perhaps a basic question but I just finished install yesterday.
Just added them. FYI USAA thinks it will cost $70k to replace a system that actually cost $30k. Not sure what to do about that, if anything, but I am glad I added the coverage.
USAA considered a solar system an "additional structure."
