    Hi
Just had a service visit to replace a piece of damaged trim

however, just chatting with the tech about the trunk lift he said he would not have them (mine recently fitted) as over time the extra force and the fact that the metal and brackets are relatively thin, could cause distortion.

what does anyone else think about this ?
I am very happy with mine but made me wonder what owners who have got a lot more ownership under their belt think?

I'm not a fan of those stronger struts, there's a reason when Tesla chose the struts that they did. So I'm inclined to believe the tech, especially when they are used on the Frunk because the hood is aluminum.
