Autopilot - what am I doing wrong ?

I received my MY about 3-4 weeks ago. When I first got it, the autopilot steering wheel icon would turn blue and I could engage it.

recently I have tried to use it on well marked city streets and a well marked highway, neither time I could get the autopilot to activate (icon on display not blue)

Am I missing something here ?

Stupid question, but is auto steer enabled in settings? Learned this the hard way with FSD where it was enabled on my profile but not my wife’s profile.

Before you pull the right lever down when in those well marked street - was the steering wheel icon grayed out but present?

If AP can't be activated - did it notify you?

All the settings are enabled. Yes the steering wheel was present but grayed out.

All sensors and cameras still calibrated? All cameras work when you view them? Have you tried a full reboot? Press brake, hold down both steering wheel buttons for 10 sec or so and screen will go blank and reboot...

Reboot your car, the 2 wheel buttons on the steering wheel.
