Bad delivery experience

The only open issue has been the trade-in value for our Volvo XC90. I was in contact with my SA regarding the offer, and she had me fill out a form online and upload pictures. Now several weeks later and my online account still says Tesla is preparing our offer, and my SA won't response to any emails etc.

Do I need to worry that it still says preparing offer? I only have an email from her with the offer price, but no official response from Tesla. Who else can I contact?

I'm in a similar spot. I'm two weeks from delivery and still don't have a trade offer .Order confirmed on 10/16, sent photos and trade info then . Heard from my DS a couple weeks ago and saying the offer expired. My portal has always (and still says) said Preparing offer. So I sent him the updated mileage but haven't heard back . I've emailed twice, and will try again today if no reply.

How did everyone else get their trade offers? Via the DS, online, both?

Our trade-in was handled online. Never even had to take it in for a visual/inspection. I believe they did a quick inspection once they took the keys from us on delivery day, but I'm not certain of that. There were no issues or worries on our part though since the car was exactly what I said it was. :D Just had to take and submit specific pictures to a third-party website that our local Tesla Delivery center was working with. The trade-in offer was then built into the sales contract since the trade-in value that we accepted and of course, reduced the owed amount.

I had a terrible delivery experience too, up in Bellevue. My second Tesla purchase. Had to wait about 2 hours past appointment time, place felt dead. Delivery specialist had no idea I was turning in a lease but once he saw I was a second owner, he gave me the keys and said it's basically the same as your current car, bye. Car had scratches and all sorts of small glitches. Got him back out and he said he'd write it up and the SC would call to have the issues fixed. Still waiting on that call. Didn't feel good about it at all, kinda wished I just kept my old car.

My old Tesla, the one I turned in, is *still* connected to my account. I see it at the auction lot, where it has been sitting for 2 months. Every 2 weeks I get a notification that the battery is dying and then I see that they've charged it up. Tesla didn't remove it from my account, and conversely, *my* history, address, etc is still on that car. I contacted my sales rep and he said he'd take care of it. Hasn't happened yet. So I put the car in Valet mode and set the speed limit to 50 mph and set the charge level to 50%. Hopefully that will cause them to complain and have Tesla wipe the car...

Holy cow haha! That is a smart way to bother them about it. I know their employees just ditch you after you hand them the deposit it’s crazy! Too bad Elon can’t go undercover and see the crap that a lot of people are going through with delivery

I had the same experience with my trade in. My account kept saying Preparing Offer and my loan was not complete either, with the transaction happening this coming Sunday, hopefully. On Thursday I got a call from some department, can not recall what department it was. The woman on the phone looked into both issues. The loan was easy in that it was fully approved. The trade in was pretty easy too. She told me the trade in value verbally. Asked me to send a copy of my title to her. My account then had the offer listed and I finished that up on line.

Then I had to approve the purchase steps for the transaction with no dollar amounts included, just the basics. All seems done on line.

I am suppose to trade in my Model S and get my new Model X in less than 24 hours, but I do not know the name or contact info for my Delivery Specialist. I just still have a standing appointment to go to the delivery center, that they gave me a week and a half ago via email from some one in Nevada. He has not responded to my email confirming the appointment. So I will just show up for my appointment and hope they are ready. Kind of expecting an email today pushing the transaction back a week.

I guess it is par for the course with Tesla. With 18 hours to go before my scheduled delivery, I just got an email from them that delivery is being pushed back to the 13th. Apparently my inventory car has not shipped from its original location.
