I engaged the OP. Summary is that he was selling on behalf of another person that was older and not a person that was technologically savvy. I would assume that the actual owner of the vehicle didn't want to plan for any trips. While Tesla's are great there still is a planning factor that one needs to go through. Nothing wrong with that - just the wrong car for the person. Due to the trade, someone will likely end up with a great 85D at a decent price compared to new.

Knowing what I know (VIN, approx. location, etc) I wonder if I should chase the car down and make an offer to the dealership that owns it now. Thoughts?
