I'm using a USB stick that works for music, except this one annoyance. The first 1/2 second of every song, is skipped or sounds "jittery". What stick (brand, model#, amazon link, etc) seems to work for everyone else?
I use the 128GB for my vehicle (read speed is around 350MB/sec, write speed is about 60MB/sec) and several other 128GBs for general purpose usage. I've also picked up a few 256GB models, which are a bit faster (375-400MB/sec read, 100MB/sec write).
For audio playback, you don't need a high-speed or high-endurance drive. Almost any good USB drive will work fine. A high-endurance drive is recommended for a dashcam and video recording.
I updated my 2022 Model Y usb-c ports so they can handle data. I use this Samsung mini 256GB usb-c stick. Samsung made the Tesla OEM USB-A. Avoid using adapters such as usb-c to usb-a , etc. When I did that method to make an older usb-A stick work in my usb-C ports, I had frequent music skipping. The sticks are so cheap I like them better than a more expensive hard drive solution...the heat build in the cars can be intense. I just buy a stick rated for high temps.
