Bigger Tires for 20" wheels

Hi,

I have a questions regarding the tires. Considering the weight of Model Y, I don't understand why the sidewall of tires is so thin.
Why the sidewall on 20" wheels is only 40mm instead of 45mm like on Model X? Is better looking and more practical on road.

Is it possible to put a 45mm tire on 20" inch aftermarket wheel on Model Y?
