Bill gates needs a TRT

I would not have personally raised visibility to the fact that someone bought a Porsche over a Tesla. Why illuminate the issue?

But regarding Gates, he can afford to buy anything he wants. The Taycan is a very nice car. Most of us would look at the selling price and the specs and say it doesn’t represent as good of a value as a Tesla. But when you are a billionaire those things really don’t matter. Obviously he can afford to buy any car he wants.

...Why illuminate the issue?...

It's true that he can afford a Taycan but he also complains "If you want to go long distance, the pervasiveness of recharging and the time to recharge compared to filling up a time of gas."

So, because Taycan gives him less range and much less functional recharging stations than Tesla can, he has to choose the worse one?

I doubt this is a real concern for him. If he has to go anywhere more than a few hours he has a Global Express with pilots standing by.

That's why it's a worthy story. Instead of saying that he likes Porsche so that's why he bought it but he then goes further by perpetuating the range anxiety myth that the reason he bought an EV such as Taycan is because an EV is only good for local drive.

He goes on to say in his interview that gasoline is 30times more energy density than batteries. And you can fill up in matter of minutes. True. That's comparing apples to oranges. Fossil fuels are burned locally to produce energy in an ICE car, where as in EV energy is produced remotely and the then transmitted to batteries. The remote source can be Nat gas, solar, nuclear etc. It's *not* all about how far you drive, but how efficient you drive. 130mpge vs 13mpg. He is totally missing that point.
