Are they really badly fitted or are they supposed to be that way, both sides of the car are low but look like they should line up with the trim underneath them?

I thought my wind noise was excessive too, but found a post where someone discovered that the wind is mainly coming from a little gap at the front of the silver trim that runs all the way along the top of the door and meets the wing mirror. He (and I) had quite a big gap on one side of the car versus the other. I put some stiff foam into the gap and wind noise is much reduced.

I wish there was a Haines manual for the 3. All these wee alignment issues could probably be fixed with the right instructions, the right screw driver and about 15 minutes.
