I bought spare headlights for my M3 to do some modifications and they came with ballasts. I want to test the ones I bought work before disassembling them and wondering if i could save some time by unplugging the existing plug from my oems to the spares and reprogram that, or I should completely remove the bumper to access the old ballast and plug it into my spare.
Also, if I were to reprogram it, is this done though the service menu? I have only heard and read about reprogramming, but never looked where to do this portion.
