Brand new trailer - brake & indicator lights won’t activate

So have gone to buy a brand new trailer & couldn’t drive it away because the brake & indicator lights won’t activate
Applied a circuit tester on the end of the plug tail & the tester would flash on & off in unison with the indicator light flashing on & off, confirming that this power being sent from the car to the electrical pins of the plug. Tested with another brand new trailer on site - same problem.
Tesla phone service couldn’t solve after power cycling.
I briefly read online that is possibly due to a too low power draw & you can buy an adaptor to trick the car (into sending more power??)??
Any help/thoughts?

The LED lights do not draw enough power for the tow package to recognize that they are there. The brake magnets draw more power which is why the controller recognizes that a trailer is connected. The load resistors in the adapter will simulate increased load on the system allowing the LED trailer lights to work.

After doing further online research, it’s sad that Tesla have no idea about this
It’s supposedly a fairly common issue amongst many car models
