Break rubbing sound

Few times I noticed while backing up my MX from the garage i hear metal rubbing sound. I couldn’t tell the source. It feels as if the beak pad is rubbing against the rotors. Has anyone else experienced the same?

Yes happens all the time. All cars do that, even ICE vehicles. Only difference is your Tesla is otherwise silent, so you notice it.

Thanks @DCGOO. Strangely, that sound is not persistent. Usually it is quiet. Last time I took it to SC, they said they performed "break burnish". I won't worry about it unless it gets worse.

Tesla (and other EVs) rotors rust more than ICE cars and make that scraping sound. With regen braking there fewer times the rust gets scraped off by the physical contact between the brake pads and the rotors.

Mostly get this sound after washing my X or driving home through rain. Seems like the wet rotors rust just a bit overnight and when you back out of you garage you can hear it being rubbed off.
