Hey all, how does one go about suggesting to Tesla to offer software that tracks business mileage, with all the necessary details for the IRS, and exports the file?

Yes I’d love a simple way to tap “Business” and “Personal” on the screen. And a record of KWh consumed that includes losses would be nice too.

Hey all, how does one go about suggesting to Tesla to offer software that tracks business mileage, with all the necessary details for the IRS, and exports the file?

I use Quickbooks Self-Employed which allows the mobile app to automatically track my mileage and then I can easily categorize business vs personal use using either the desktop or mobile app. I've been very happy with it so far. Regarding the kW/m consumed, I plan to just use my annual average.

I use a mobile app as well, but I need to update the actual mileage occasionally because the mobile app gets out of sync with the actual mileage. I usually do this when I'm leaving in the morning which is a pain in somewhere unpleasant.

Doesn't Tesla have a Suggestion Portal? I mean, they made an app for a guy who wanted to keep his dog in the car with the AC on.
