I guess I was surprised. I bought the car at the beginning of Nov,18 and only just now received the first response from California. I had to resubmit one document which was approved one day later. Now they tell me it can take another 3 months before I get the rebate check. In fairness, I didn’t learn about the $500 SCE rebate till recently and they didn’t take nearly as long. I will say I’m looking forward to the $7500 federal tax credit on last years tax.
Just be prepared to wait a long time on these rebates. Also worth mentioning that California did NOT email me when they rejected my application the first time. I just happened to be thinking about it and checked the status. I had only 3 days left to resubmit the documentation or I would have been out of luck. Make sure you keep an eye on your rebate!
