Hi,
I’m considering taking a trip from Halifax to go around the Cabot Trail in my Model 3 LR.
Has anybody done this trip? Wondering if charging options make it doable.

Fabulous trip especially in the fall. Very doable with a J1778 adapter but would highly recommend you have a CCS adapter. Tesla are a little weak with superchargers in the east coast. Some pretty good used deals on CCS adapters now.

There are plenty of Tesla destination chargers in the park. I believe 4 groups of them. The Canadian parks have done a great jog of supporting EVs. We covered Nova Scotia last year.

No luck in ABRP but you can use PlugShare trip planner like below. Experiment/Adjust to use CCS or Tesla Destination chargers.

I opened my ABRP to include CCS and it found some ways. Not sure if you Tesla is CCS compatible and if you have the adapter since you didn't provide any details at all !

Was there a couple of years ago with my Y SR and loved it.

Tesla donated destination chargers to Parc Canada some time ago, and you can charge for free at several locations along the Cabot Trail. Most are nicely located near beaches or trailheads.

Parks Canada's managed charging stations (Tesla and J-1772) are located throughout the park, in six strategic locations.

We drove the Cabbot trail in a LR MY a couple years ago with a CCS adapter that we used in Monastery and Baddeck. Both FLO stations worked fine but there was only 1 fast charger per location, 50kW max. We also used a couple of destination chargers in the park. The road conditions were poor in some sections.
