Can’t pop open the trunk from the display

So I’m taking my kids early to school in the Chicago Winter and I can’t pop open trunck from the screen, because a pop up sign appears over the open trunk button “Regenerative Braking Limited”

1. How do you put in a UI suggestion to Tesla?
2. Is there another place in the menu that has that allows you to Pop the trunk without getting out of the car and pushing the button.

The open button moves to the right side when there's a message up. You can still see it in your picture.

Yes, this is probably a little known UI element. Any notifications that show up in that spot can be swiped to the left to get them out of the way. They reduce to a circle with the indicator icon in it. Although sometimes they annoyingly pop back up fully again.
