charge current setting via app.. was it available in the past and missing now?

You can set the charging current to any level you want (up to the maximum acceptable by the OBC and available from the charging source) at any time after the vehicle is connected. In fact changing the charging source to one with a different capability will change the current setting of the OBC.

The OP question was whether the current could be set from the Tesla app on his phone. It cannot. You can only set it from inside the car.

@ajdelange was clarifying the statement by @DCGOO that charging Amps must be set, when in the car, before charging starts. One can set the charge Amps at any time from within the car, not just before charging is started. Unfortunately they did not Reply to the correct post, so that was unclear.
