Charge Port Latch Not Engaged - Be Advised Low temps cause reduced Charge Rate 16/40A

What if you point a hairdryer at the chargeport? That should remove any snow or ice within minutes.

I had the same "charge port not latched" message with reduced charging. I went into my trunk, wiggled the latch release cord a few times and managed to free the latch and extinguish the fault. I'll hit it with some lube tomorrow, fingers crossed it's resolved.

OP here: As a follow up, I had my latch replaced with the updated part (it's had a number of revisions) and it was still occasionally giving the message- but without the reduced rate. I called for a second service appointment and they confirmed it was a software bug that many people were experiencing. I now have 2023.2.10 and it appears to have been resolved.

Following up on my post from a few weeks back.... now that the temperature is higher, I haven't had any issues with the charge port not locking the charger.

I have a 2023 M3P and I'm have the exact same issue as OP. Temps are in high 30s to low 40s.
