I just had a problem where the charge port door opens, but light does not come on and I cant insert the charger cable. I assume its the locking pin is blocking it. Thus, I cant charge the car. Tried rebooting computer. Charger button opens the charge socket door easily and multiple times. 120 volt charge cable also does not insert. 2013 Model S (serial number about 17,000). ANy ideas? Driving my1969 Dart GTS 340 4 barrel instead.

Charge Port Suddenly having Issues

Sounds very much like the symptoms i had a few weeks ago. Got the charge port replaced by the service center.
Mobile service may be able to do it. They tried to do so on my car, but something had rusted out so some body shop repair was needed -- very ugly long, drawn-out affair, not really related to the charge port per se.
