I experienced a very strange issue that no matter if it’s home charger, super charger or ChargePoint, I got error “charger not fully plugged in” and the charge speed is way reduced like single digit per mile. Tesla technician came and notice that the latch on the top left corner inside the trunk was pulled out a little bit. The latch was to force emergency release of charger. That fixed the issue.
Fast forward six month, my home charger started having same issue and charging only 7 miles per hour on a level II charger. Char point seems to be fine that I am able to charge at ok speed.
I ensure that the latch was pulled out and put in completely a number of times. But the home charger issue still did not improve. What’s going on that it seems the charging port was partially blocked somehow.
Any idea?
