As we know, Tesla has been phasing out the Type 2 connector on their Superchargers in favor of the CCS standard. Older vehicles which do not have CCS capability can charge directly at the Type 2 Superchargers. However, can they charge at the new Superchargers which have only CCS cords, simply by buying the CCS to Type 2 adapter that Tesla makes (as shown in the picture)? Or will the vehicle require the full CCS upgrade? Of course, the CCS upgrade would be required in order to use a non-Tesla CCS charger, but would that be necessary to use a Supercharger that only has a CCS cord? Or would the adapter alone be sufficient?
