New Tesla owner here and have a newby question... when am I suppose to leave the climate control on when the car is park? Right now I have it off as it is sitting in my garage.

Climate control is kept on temporarily for occupants' comfort when parked.

Leaving it on will maintain the set cabin temperature up to 4 hours, or until 20% battery which ever is reached sooner.

See page 126/127 of the manual for details...

Cabin Overheat protection is a separate setting used to keep temp below 105F - to protect car components from high temp.

Yes leave it “OFF” so it will shut off on its own shortly after you walk away

Thanks. Wasn’t sure if the car needed to be a certain temp, but the cabin overheat protection explains it.
