Color correction?

    Not to sound like Seinfeld, but what is the deal with "color correction" The color is covered in a clear coat, right? Clay barring, buffing and chemicals just interact with the clear coat, never reach the colored paint. Scratch correction I see being needed.

    Short answer is it mostly preps the clear coat to be as contaminate and swirl free as possible
