Computer going off

This morning while I was driving my Tesla model 3 the computer screen went off for about 3 minutes the fan came on and the screen came back after 3 minutes
Is this normal or common
I kept driving with a blank screen
Are there any dangers in driving in this situation?

The MCU rebooted on its own. Rare but it happens. You can still drive fine while it reboots.

Dangers include not having a speedometer.

I wouldn't say it's normal, it's happened to me once but it fine if the MCU reboots while driving. You lose the blinker control for like 10 secs and the displays until it fully boots up again.

It's not normal but it can happen occasionally
If it keeps on doing it either call roadside assistance or make a service appointment though the app

Also none of your normal sounds will occur. This includes turn signals (if you use them). You can also reboot the car while driving; the possible problem being, trying to hold in both scroll buttons while making a turn.

I’ve had it happen, once or twice around the time it was new. It’s rare, but as stated it does happen.
