Damaged the rocker panel of my new Tesla Model 3 2024

I ran through a pipe from the right-hand side of my new Tesla Model 3 2024 in a parking and it severely damaged the rocker panel of the passenger side door. There is a slight dent on the bottom of the door as well. I went to a "Tesla Approved" body shop and they created an estimate of CAD 4,880. This actually seems to high as in their estimate parts and taxes were CAD1200 but the labor cost is CAD3600. What should I do? Please suggest.

Body repair work is mostly labor. What makes you think it’s too high?

They will have to repair or replace the door skin and likely cut out the lower rocker panel and weld in a new piece. Then sand and paint and blend the paint with the adjacent undamaged panels.

I had a projectile from a tractor mowing the side of the road go through my rocker panel. It damaged the inside rocker panel that was hardened steel. Repair came in at just under $15,000. Took 3 months of repair. Consider yourself lucky

If you’re in Scarborough, go to Excellence Auto. They are fantastic and took care of my rocker panel last year. Off Midland, north of Lawrence. Also CSN is a good one. Are you a member of the TOCO (Tesla Owners Club of Ontario)? I think there is a member discount at CSN. Worth the $50/year membership @Jgdixon

File a claim with your insurance company. Let them negotiate the price... And pay the bill.

Thats a great suggestion. Actually I did go to the Tesla Approved - Auto Excellence on the 210 Midwest Road and the quote of 4,880 comes from them itself. Should I go with them or look around more?

Sorry to bother you. Can you please provide more information about your Rocker Panel? Like maybe share pictures if you can and what quote you got.

Also, I checked the TOCO website, there was no mention of discount on CSN services, can you send me a link to where I can know more about them?
