Deleting posts option is gone

After posting I see this option, but then after a few hours it’s gone. Is there any way around this?

Report the post and ask for it to be deleted. A moderator will decide whether or not it should be done. This keeps people from posting BS and deleting it later. If you become a supporting member, you get a longer window to edit and delete posts.
