Hi all, I'm supposed to pick up my Model X on Friday, according to my delivery advisor last week. He told me I'd get a confirmation from someone else but I haven't heard anything. I plan to drive 300 miles to Houston tomorrow in a rented car and stay in a hotel to be ready for the delivery but I don't even know which of the 3 Houston locations I'm picking up from! My account page just says it's "in transit" and the delivery location is incomplete. My DA has told me multiple times that his system shows the Houston location for pickup and not to worry about that. I just called my DA, no answer. I called the Houston service center, who directed me to the delivery specialists general number (8887712505). They said they see the delivery appointment but can't tell where the car is. They're messaging my DA and Sales Advisor (who has never replied to a message). This is really frustrating and I don't know what to do other than head to Houston and cross my fingers. I feel like I've read a similar gripe a thousand times on this forum but this one is mine.
Anyway, my real question is: I just unexpectedly received by Fed Ex an Application for Registration of New Vehicle and the Odometer disclosure statement, with instructions to sign and return them in a prepaid Fed Ex envelope. Should I just bring these documents to my delivery appointment instead of sending them by Fed Ex? They won't arrive to California by the time my appointment comes and I don't want to be delayed given how far I have to go to get the car. My thinking is that I can always send them that day if they're not needed at delivery but I can't get them back if they're still in transit and Tesla needs them.
I also got a temporary registration sticker to put in the window which obviously I'll bring with me. Receiving this makes me feel more confident that this is going to happen on Friday, though it would have been NICE to get a heads up that these things were on the way since I had to sign for them and likely wouldn't be able to take delivery without that temporary registration.
