New York Tesla Delivery /DMV Delay?

Had a delivery planned tomorrow (12/5) at Noon. I got a call at 2pm from Tesla confirming my appointment. I just got another call from the delivery location at 4:55PM stating that the New York DMV is no longer allowing registrations of Tesla.

Has anyone else had this experience or heard of anything like this? This almost sounds too far-fetched to be true.

Did a quick Google search and found this. Seems the NY State DMV is not issuing timely registrations. When I purchased my Tesla (a year ago, at the Mt Kisco location), my registration came within 30 days. I would say there seems to be an issue/Tesla is telling you the truth.
