delivery delayed but a car is available in inventory

delivery of my MY has been delayed with no tentative date given. I looked at the existing inventory and there is a vehicle available that matches my original order. Can I get the one in inventory instead even though I have a VIN assigned for my order?

Contact your representative (usually they text you when you have a VIN assigned) and ask, it can't hurt.

Worst case you can cancel your current order and buy the one in inventory. Whether they will refund your deposit or apply it to your new order (or just keep it), I have no idea.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Problem was the car was in NY. Maine (where I live) only takes deliveries through Paramus, NJ. They would not allow me to buy the New York car.

Trying logging into your account on the website and look for the accelerated delivery option. If it’s there it should show you inventory vehicles that you can get instead without losing your order fee for the current order.
