Dear Valued Alpha5 NFT Build Slot Holder,
We want to take this opportunity to clarify some points regarding the announced reduction of our Alpha5 production from 9,351 to 4,000 due to supply chain bottlenecks. We understand that there might have been some confusion among our customers about the impact of this reduction on their current NFT holdings.
To address this, we would like to confirm that once we complete our internal beta launch
on March 12, we will close the doors to new NFT build slot purchases. However, the doors will reopen in April through a global launch, at which point the price will increase to $3,500 — with a $500 increase for every additional 500 units sold.
Once we sell out in April, we will revise the existing build slots to reflect your place in line based on the new production number of 4,000. So, for example, if you currently hold Build Slot #5,190 with the latest production quantity, you would have Build Slot # 2,192.
The math behind this is simple. As you know, DeLorean has reserved the first 88 build slots for itself, so to account for that, the math used will be (5,190/(9,351-88)) x (4,000-88) = 2,192. So we will round to the nearest whole number.
Please be assured that your Build Slot is secure and that the reduced number of production units from 9,351 to 4,000 means that each NFT build slot has become more exclusive. By raising our pricing, you, our first holders of our Build Slots, will enjoy the benefits of that action.
Anyone who did not secure one of the 4,000 build slots will be required to purchase one from the DeLorean Exchange, which will be launched soon after. Here, you will have the opportunity to sell or trade your build slots.
